September 4, 2020 - Building the RV-10

Since Rich and Nhu-An moved the RV-10 into Bruce's old hangar -- which they bought -- we have been putting in some solid hours on the project.  The bottom outboard skins are riveted onto both wings.  We hooked up the elevator trim mechanism which is considerably more involved than what is on my RV-7.  It has two servos instead of one.   Now we are working on the empennage fiberglass tips.  Here Rich is final drilling holes for the right elevator tip.

It fits!  Guess appearance by Mark B. at right.  Mark's RV-8 passed the DAR inspection and he should fly it soon.

Beautiful sunset at Essex Skypark.  Almost as good as what you would see at Key West!
